Church Schools’ Success *Updated
Church Schools in Wiltshire and Dorset have scored success in this year’s Primary school league tables, with Milldown CE Primary and Durweston CE VA Primary School coming joint top in the Key Stage 2 tables for Dorset.

Ranked by value added, the top ten schools in Wiltshire included Whiteparish All Saints Primary, Cherhill CofE, Holy Trinity Academy, New Forest Primary and Dilton Marsh Primary.
Dorset’s top ten schools featured Milldown CE Primary and Durweston CE Primary, St Mary the Virgin in Gillingham, St George’s Bourton, St John’s Weymouth, Blandford St Mary, Marshwood Primary and Powerstock Primary.
Director of Education Chris Shepperd said, “Heartfelt congratulations to all staff, governors, helpers, parents and of course the pupils themselves. These excellent results have been a collective effort by all concerned.”
Durweston Headteacher Liz Wesley-Barker said, “’Value added’ speaks of pupils’ progress performance between Years 2 and 6, ages 7 to 11. Whilst recognising that attainment would not be as high as in previous years, we’re delighted that our value added was the highest in the county.”
