Celebrating a Century
A century of the Mothers Union in West Moors has been celebrated with a certificate and an online service of Holy Communion watched by members and supporters.
A copy of the original Registration Certificate for the West Moors Branch shows it was founded back in 1920, and since then the Mothers Union in this part of Dorset has been thriving.
Today, West Moors MU Branch is led by Liz Bowler who, together with her husband Mike, are both on the MU Diocesan Board of Trustees.
A signed, 100th Year Anniversary Certificate had been received from the Canterbury Provincial President, Kathryn Anderson, which was framed and blessed by the Revd Andy Muckle during the service, which also featured the MU Prayer and Mary Sumner's Personal Prayer.
