Top children’s worship entertainers visit Wilts county town

The captivating children’s worship leader, Duggie Doug Doug, brought his Christmas panto story The Amazing Adventures of Eric The Christmas Angel to a packed Holy Trinity Church in Trowbridge to help kids in Wiltshire’s county town get in the spirit of the season.

Doug Horley (Duggie Doug Doug) is a singer, songwriter and performer who travels the UK and many other countries putting on family shows in churches and schools. He teamed up with friends Caroline Webb and Mark Middleton and Adrian Preater of Hotbuckle Productions to bring this unique blend of lighting fast costume changes, humour and fun to the stage.

Harriet Heard, who co-ordinated the event for churches in Wiltshire’s county town, said “We’ve seen Doug at Spree Southwest for the last seven years and we’re big fans. We know that it will always be a fantastic show with Doug – Gospel-centred and fun”

“I’ve been touring the UK this year with Ranger Stu and my Go Wild Praise Party” said Doug, “I also took my Crazy Science Praise Party and BMX team to the Ivory Coast on a ten-day mission, but it was quite a challenge.

“There wasn’t any electricity in most places and the temperature got up to 37!

“I’ve got more touring planned for next year”, Doug. Continued, “I’ve got a Northern Ireland tour coming up in February and I’m working with the 8 – 11 year olds at Spring Harvest in April. I’m heading back to the Ivory Coast towards the end of 2018 and that always throws up some practical challenges. I’m also trying to put together a DVD to go with my new Oomph CD.”
