Boom Boom!
It isn't every day you see a fox at a funeral, especially a famous one.
But Basil Brush was among the mourners at the funeral of his good friend "Mr Derek" at one of our Wiltshire churches.
The funeral of the actor Derek Fowlds, who was also known to the British public as Bernard in 'Yes Minister' and as Oscar Blaketon in 'Heartbeat' took place in St Katherine's in Holt.
Basil, who had worked alongside "Mr Derek" in his children's television show for many years, led the tributes to the fondly remembered actor.
Basil kindly posed for this photograph after the service.
The Revd Andrew Evans, who took the service said:
"St Katharine's was privileged to host Basil Brush (note in his original incarnation!) who came to say his last farewell to 'Mr Derek'.
"He seemed as feisty as ever!"
As Basil himself would say:
"Boom Boom!"
