The Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings, will host the event, and Bishop Cray, leader of Fresh Expressions, will speak about the wider Fresh Expressions movement in the UK and worldwide.

Poole Missional Communities, run by the Revd Paul Bradbury, has been created to oversee and support pioneering Christian work in Poole. Current projects include Reconnect, a small Christian community; work:space, which runs meditative work breaks for office workers;  and Wild Spirit, a series of social and spiritual events specifically for men.

Bishop Cray said today: “Reconnect is one of the most interesting groups I’ve seen since becoming leader of Fresh Expressions nearly two years ago. Their style is very real, person-to-person, listening to what others have to say and sharing the Christian message of hope in ways that anyone can understand and relate to. This is an opportunity to promote and support something genuinely fresh.”

Dr Kings said: “Paul is doing a great job, and leads by example. He and the rest of the Reconnect community have a thoughtful, humble approach to life and faith, as well as a real sense of fun. If you’re going to join something they’re doing, you’ll be welcomed as a new member of the family.”
