BioDancing, the Dawn Chorus and an Easter Family Break
The Othona Community in West Dorset has launched a range of courses and events that include a Biodanza Evening, where participants are invited to "dance like no one is watching!"
The programme of events that will be taking place throughout the year also includes a chance to help with the pruning at the community, which is set in around 7 acres of grounds managed for biodiversity, overlooking the Jurassic Coast, just outside Burton Bradstock.
There is also a choice of 2 Families Easter Breaks, a Yoga retreat, a chance to listen to the Dawn Chorus with "knowledgeable and witty" expert Dominic Couzens, and an opportunity to learn how can we live well and in tune with nature.
Liz Howlett from the Othona Community said:
"We offer a beautiful seaside spiritual retreat, combining the experience of community life with the arts, nature, contemplation & relaxation...
"And, as we say, a place to be real together.
"We are an open and inclusive Community rooted in the Christian tradition and open to the widening future. We welcome people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and beliefs.
"We offer a range of courses, retreats and family holidays and if you come in the spring, you will enjoy our wonderful wild orchids."
Visitors and the resident team share in a daily rhythm of work, learning, worship and play at the Community.
