A Good Read
Our Chaplain to the Deaf Community has reviewed 'Mother's Seventh Daughter' by Violet Carol Foot, and is encouraging others to do the same.
The Revd Neil Robinson said:
"I began to read this book which was recommended by a friend. The author wrote a lot about her experience of overcoming her disability and her schooldays in England. Her disability did not deter her from her love of lacrosse and hockey.
"During her early years, she was evacuated to live with strangers in South Wales during the Second World War, which was totally different from her homeland of England. Her detailed records showed how the love of her Welsh foster parents helped her through her growth as a child until 1945.
"It is worth reading because the readers could relate well to her situation during the wartime. It shows how God’s goodness and love sustained her.
"Go on, buy one!"
