66 Confirmed at Salisbury Cathedral

by Michael Ford last modified 11 May, 2022 06:26 PM

66 young people and adults were confirmed, and seven were baptised, at a joyful service over the weekend.

Bishop Karen writes ‘It was my joy to welcome to the Cathedral so many candidates for confirmation and baptism, particularly to see so many young people, all saying ‘yes’ to following Jesus Christ in their lives.  For me the Cathedral confirmation was closely followed by one at Bryanston School, with services at Clayesmore School and Canford School taking place in the next couple of weeks, all reflecting the important role our Chaplains play in the life of young people and their faith development. A service of Confirmation can provoke questions in people’s minds about life and faith and there is always an open invitation to those seeking God in their lives to discover more by asking their local clergy or school chaplain.’

Bishop Andrew said, “This confirmation of so many young people and adults was such a hopeful occasion for Salisbury, and joyous evidence of God’s work in our communities”.
