Vocations
Information about different types of ministry and who to contact for support and advice about exploring your faith
All Christians are called by God, by virtue of our baptism, to enjoy his love, to love God in return and to serve God and others in our lives. Another way of describing our ‘calling’ is to talk about ‘vocation’, a word which comes from the Latin word “vocare” meaning ‘to call’.
Vocation doesn't just apply to those people who are called to authorised ministry. All Christians have a vocation to witness to the transforming love of God through worship and service to others, using the gifts that God has given them.
