DBS Verifier Training Course- 28th April 2021
For New and Existing verifiers
This Training Session is for both new and existing Verifiers and is now accompanied with a full training book. The session starts with a presentation which is entitled Verifying avoiding the pitfalls but within the training book there is a full step-by-step guide. This starts from the new emails that are generated by the Microsite, which details the minimum check you need to do, and then a details pictorial guide to using the APCS website link. The book details what you need to know about the Update Service (and how this works on the microsite) plus useful guides to the type of checks, what the barring checks mean and do, plus details of just exactly do we mean by regulated activity?
This may also be of interest to Safeguarding officers that may also occasionally verify peoples documents as it shows how this all fits together with the microsite to give you the complete picture of your people.
