Bishops on Bikes
Bishops in Lycra and hi-vis jackets were a regular sighting around Wiltshire’s roads at the weekend as the Rt Revd Ed Condry and the Rt Revd Lee Rayfield completed a mammoth 172-mile bike ride in support of Christian Aid.

Music in Worship Day 2012
Delegates enjoyed a keynote talk, workshops and a chance to learn from each other during the Diocesan Music in Worship Day at the Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford on Avon, on Saturday (10 November).
Diocesan Synod November 2012
The Bishop of Salisbury set the scene for the future development of the Diocese of Salisbury at a meeting of the Diocesan Synod on Saturday 3 November 2012. Synod also heard the Archdeacon of Sarum’s proposals for his new additional role in identifying and encouraging new forms of ministry and mission, as well as details of Christian Aid’s international Tax Justice Campaign and the Annual report from the Dean of Salisbury.

Churches Follow Up Olympics
Leaders from Weymouth churches hosted a national tour, ‘The Time of our Lives’, as a follow-up to the Great British Summer, on Wednesday (17 October, 7pm) at the Prayerhouse, Weymouth.
Competition Winner Opens New Centre
Amelia French, a Year 8 pupil from South Wilts Grammar School, opened the new Diocesan Education Centre in Wilton, together with the Bishop of Salisbury, Nicholas Holtam, and the Earl of Pembroke. Local choirs sang. and dignitaries helped pupils to plant trees around the grounds.

Thousands attended the 'Refresh2012' Festival organised by churches in Weymouth and Portland, 24-27 August 2012. The dates were chosen to fit between the Olympic sailing events and the Paralympics. More pictures will be added as they come in.

Seeking Gold
The Launch of 'Seeking Gold', a Pilgrimage in Dorset devised by Lavender Buckland and championed by the Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings. The Revd James Stephenson, a world-class athlete, spent his first day as a priest swimming, cycling and running almost 100 miles, visiting all ten churches en route.

New Diocesan Education Centre
On Tuesday 31 January 2012, dignitaries, diocesan staff and members of Woodford school gathered in the Avenue, Wilton, for the blessing of the foundations of a new Diocesan Education Centre. The Bishop of Salisbury, Nicholas Holtam, performed the ceremony. Attendees included the Mayors of Wilton and Salisbury, the Chairman of the Board of Education, the Director of Education, the Diocesan Secretary and representatives from Hammonds, the Building contractors.
All Saints Weymouth - Olympic Art
Celebrations for this year’s Olympic Games include public art exhibited by Year 7 and Year 8 students from All Saints Church of England School, Weymouth as part of the ‘Giant Wall project’. Weymouth and Portland will host the 2012 Olympic Sailing Events.

The Bishop of Salisbury, Nicholas Holtam, and the Dean of Salisbury, June Osbourne, visit the Episcopal Church of Sudan together for the first time.
Bishop Nicholas Consecrated
Nicholas Holtam was consecrated as Bishop of Salisbury on Friday 22 July by the Archbishop of Canterbury at St Paul's Cathedral, London. Bishop Nicholas was ordained alongside the new Suffragan Bishop of Stepney Adrian Newman, the former Dean of Rochester. The sermon was preached by the Dean of Salisbury, the Very Revd June Osborne. South Sudan Independence 2011
The Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings, travelled to South Sudan for their first-ever Independence Day.

Synod met at Market Lavington on Saturday 6 November 2010. The agenda included women bishops, children's and schools work, Clergy Terms of Service and a showstopping presentation from Mothers' Union.
