"All Dark and Comfortless" - A Level English Saturday

The set of Gloucester's blinding, constructed by Ms Hennah, Mr Arnold and Mr Bishop

"All dark and comfortless" - so says Gloucester at the point of the removal of his second eye, just as Kent's lines at the closure of the play are: "All's cheerless, dark and deadly". Not the most uplifting of experiences for a Saturday morning, but Ms Hennah and Mr Arnold did their best to inspire some enthusiasm, creating their own set for Gloucester's blinding with culinary ingredients. All part of our Sixth Form Saturday, inducting students into the subjects of English, Criminology, History and Geography and inspiring students about the excitement of A Level study.
