Thorpe Lodge
We recently successfully sought planning permission to undertake refurbishment work on Thorpe Lodge and would like to thank all local residents and interested parties for their comments. Thorpe Lodge is a Grade II lodge which lies at Airlie Gardens, London, W8 7AF. Since 1952 it has formed part of Holland Park School. It is originally a period building of 1817 and has had several prominent residents, the most significant being Baron Montague Collet Norman, who was Governor of the Bank of England between 1904 and 1911. Work to restore the Lodge will began in September 2017 and is expected to complete in spring 2020.
Community Use Scheme
Holland Park School is proud to be part of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and to provide local children with a first class education. The school moved into a brand new building in 2012 and now enjoys exceptional facilities that enhance the learning experience for our students.
When not in use by our students, we are keen to ensure that these facilities, including a 25m swimming pool, dance studio and all weather sports pitch, are made accessible to the wider community at competitive cost.
We have established partnerships with a number of regular community users including :
Chelsea and Westminster Swimming Club
