Arrangements 2021/2022

In accordance with Regulation 17 of the School Admissions Regulations 2012, admission arrangements must be formally determined by the responsible admission authority.

For entry in the academic year of 2021/2022, the Governing Body of Holland Park School is making no changes to its admissions arrangements - available to view in the Resources section (left).

For entry in the academic year of 2020/2021, the Governing Body of Holland Park School consulted over the following changes. These have now been incorporated into the school's policy:

1)      Removal of the exceptional need criterion.

2)      Removal of sibling connection to students on the roll of the sixth form.

3)      Change to the measuring point to the ‘main school gate’ as opposed to the ‘centre of the school grounds’.

4)      An offer made to a child that is twin/multiple birth will automatically trigger an offer to the sibling(s) irrespective of the allocated Band or offer through aptitude.

5)      The use of random allocation when distances are the same in a block of flats, as opposed to the nearest to the ground floor by flat ascending order.

The consultation period was from Monday 15th October to  Friday 30th November 2018.

Applications out of the normal chronological age group

The School is prepared to consider applications out of the normal age group, both at secondary transfer and for in-year admissions. Each case will be considered on its merits and the decision is at the Admissions Committee discretion.

In accordance with Regulation 21 of the Regulations and Section 88 of the SSFA 1998, any person or body who considers that any maintained school or Academy's arrangements are unlawful, or not compliant with the Code or relevant law relating to admissions, can make an objection to the Schools Adjudicator.
