Sixth Form Admissions

OPEN EVENTS

We look forward to inviting prospective students to the school's Sixth Form opening evening on Thursday 19th September at 17.00: please arrive promptly. There is no need to book a space in advance. We ask that all prospective Sixth Form students attend the event with a parent. We were abuzz with over 700 visitors last year, but we will ensure that all who visit the school are fully equipped with all the information and guidance about the nature of the Sixth Form.

We will also be delighted to see prospective students with their parents on the school's open evenings and mornings in the week commencing 17th September (see admissions to Year 7 pages). Whilst this is intended for Year 7, it offers an additional opportunity to visit and meet teachers and current students.

APPLYING TO HOLLAND PARK

Whatever institution students choose for Sixth Form study, it is imperative they choose one that is right for them; few (if any) establishments are right for everybody.

Access to our Sixth Form will be available to students who have a minimum of 8 grades 9-6 at GCSE including English and Mathematics. We also ask that students achieve a grade 7 or above at GCSE in the subjects they wish to study at A Level, although students are considered on an individual basis. Holland Park Students unlikely to make these requirements should seek advice from Mr Joe Holloway, Deputy Head or Mr Benjamin Arnold, Assistant Headteacher, about possible options available to them.

Students choosing A Level courses should be guided by the requirements of potential University courses, in order to ensure that they meet the Entry Profiles of courses for which they intend to apply. Advice can be found on the UCAS website as well as in the Sixth Form section of this website.
