The Choir
The School Choir
We are very proud of our talented school choir. Singing repertoire that spans a range of genres and time periods (from Byrd and Palestrina to Handel and even Billy Joel), the choir performs regularly to the whole school and at school events and makes a regular European tour. The choir has been fortunate to work alongside the internationally acclaimed early music group, Stile Antico. For more information about Stile Antico, click here.
Choir Tour
Each year, the choir tours a city where music flourishes. Four years ago, a tour to Paris and a concert in Notre Dame was followed by singing under the Eiffel Tower. Three years ago, the choir returned from the city of Durham, where it sang a concert in Durham Cathedral, for staff and students at Durham Sixth Form Centre, in St John's College chapel and in St Gabriel's church, Heaton, Newcastle. Some live recordings from the tour are available for listening on the left. Two years ago, the choir returned from the city of Chichester in West Sussex, where it gave a concert in the cathedral. You will see some numbers from this concert on the left. Last year, we sang with the King's Singers in Carnegie Hall, New York, for their 50th Anniversary Concert. You can find some information about this tour here.

Annual Come and Sing
Each year, the school hosts a performance of a major choral work, and invites members of the community to join them and professional soloists and musicians to put the music together in a day. This began some years ago with a performance of Handel's Messiah at Our Lady of Victories, High Street Kensington. Mgr Jim Curry kindly gave permission for use of the church. In subsequent years, we have sung the requiems by Mozart and Faure. In the coming year, we are excited to be performing another major work from the classical canon.
