Grill a Bishop on Radio 4
When Beetlebrow built the new Diocese of Salibury web site, we knew we were building some thing important, that would attract attention. The Bishop of Sherborne's idea for an online forum where school children could ask awkward questions about God, morality and existence seemed like an excellent, innovative way of holding an important dialogue.
It seems to have caught the imagination, with every session being lively and full of interesting questions. The local and national media have also shown an interest in the idea, with Radio 4's Today programme being the latest to cover the idea.
In a piece specifically examining how well "Grill a Bishop" does in communicating with school Children about the "big" religious questions, Radio 4 included quotes from the Bishop, as well as examples of live question and answer sessions.
It's great to see the Church embracing new technologies in an effort to engage with people, and if Beetlebrow can help with that, we're delighted to be able to make it easier.
You can listen again to the programme from the 20th of January 2010 for six days by going to the Today Programme "Listen again" page. The piece comes about half way through the three hour programme. You can also see a text summary of the programme, with links to news stories from it by looking at the 2011 Today archive.
