Chancery Bar Association chooses Beetlebrow
The Chancery Bar Association's web site was looking a little tired, and the content management system was not as flexible or easy-to-use as some. In addition the ChBA wanted to add a payment system allowing members to pay their subscriptions online as well as paying for events and videos using the same system.
Beetlebrow built their new web site using the Plone member functionality to its full extent, to create several overlapping types of membership, with the viewing of certain pages and files restricted to certain types of members. In addition, payment for certain events and videos is available only to certain types of members.
On top of that, a bespoke member search mechanism was needed to allow members of the public to look up the different members, in particular barristers. A listing mechanism also displays the members by type while all members from the member database are listed in a dynamic PDF created from the latest member data.
On the reporting side, Beetlebrow built a bespoke mechanism to display purchases made through the site to the site adminstrators, and to export the data in Excel-compatible format. Member data can also be viewed exported by site admins in the same CSV format.
