Local angler Ray Edwards has set a new British Record for Brill. Shore caught off Abbotsbury, Chesil Beach near Weymouth and weighed in at Weymouth Angling Centre. What a fantastic achievement - well done Ray!
Great conditions, a good weighing in number of Flatfish and 136 anglers took part at Chesil Beach.
This years annual Cod Open, saw a great turnout although not the best conditions for Cod, our winner had 3 cod weighting 4lb 5oz - Till Hall.
Recently we have had our first Specimen Hunt entry that beats a Port Record!
This years competition was held on Sunday 8th April in near perfect weather conditions, the only downside being the water colouration.
Firstly a huge thank you to all anglers fishing the Pairs Species Open last week and for making it a fantastic two days. With 23 teams enjoying some great fishing and beautiful October weather. The competition is a memorial to our good friend Chris Caines, who we think of always. Plus thank you to our sponsors Snowbee and the Sailors Return.
