Master Bing

Microsoft do it again, choosing the enemy of mankind to be the voice of Bing in the UK

I've got nothing against John Simm. He's a good actor. I liked Life on Mars and loved him as the Master in Doctor Who. But that's the problem, for me his voice is forever linked to a plan to enslave and murder mankind, while wearing a cheeky grin and rabbiting on about drums.

So when I see an advert for the newish Microsoft search engine Bing, who some might have occasionally caricatured as an evil mega-corporation with designs on world domination, voiced by the silken tones of a being so evil he makes Davros look a bit of a softie, I can't help but think that Microsoft have done it again.

"Bing, the search engine that will empty your mind and make you my slave."

Genius. I guess it must stop hurting if you've shot yourself in the foot so many times.
