Newton's Cove
Newtons Cove is situated behind the Nothe Fort, with many species easily targeted. You can fish big baits here for Rays and Bass, or small worm baits for Plaice, Wrasse, Pollock. Summer months Mackerel and Scad shoal up here and it can be really good fishing. Please take all rubbish and plastic packaging on with you as plastic pollution is a real problem with our seas, and it is affecting the marine life that inhabits it.
