Fins-up (Portland)
From the Skipper: From the novice fisherman to the most experienced, families, or corporate days out. Everyone is welcome. Based out of Portland Marina which was built for the 2012 Olympics .The marina has some great facilities including modern toilet/shower facilities and FREE PARKNG! Trollies are available to help transport your rods and 'The Boat that Rocks’ café/restaurant boasts a large range of food, beverages and live music. A nice cold beer on the terrace is a great way to end a day’s fishing overlooking the Marina!
The Boat: Fins-up is an Evolution 38 with a Cummins 490hp It has a comfortable cruising speed of 15-18kts and top speed of 28kts. There is a toilet adjacent to the wheelhouse and ample seating for all on deck and inside the heated cabin, a red hot kettle and cold drinks supplied all day.
The Fishing: From wrecking to reef and bank fishing or even simple mackerel trips, we pride ourselves in ensuring you have a safe, fun and enjoyable day. Fins-up is available to charter or you can book on as an individual. If you have any special requests we can tailor make the day to suit your needs. We are normally at sea between 6 - 10 hours, we can also arrange shorter for longer trips.
Rod hire and bait is available subject to prior arrangement.
